93 mx6 ls atx acceleration lags for the first 40 - 60 feet then takes off rapidly this seems a bit extreme to just be the car coming into the power band. I was thinking maybe the vris solenoids were sticking but have not had a chance to check them. Car is running at best 17.13 second quarter mile times all slips show the time loss is mostly in the first 1/8 mile when compared to a 93 probe gt and a 94 mx6 ls both are mtx. Running 15.4 and 16.3 they gain no time after the 1/8 mile mark
Decided to have a little fun bought a 93 probe gt from a junkyard been sitting for 2 years. It ran when it was parked now to make it run circles around others. Pics and info coming soon.
Scrap Yard to Drag Strip. Is it possible? I think so.

probably the VRIS solonoids dude.....I had the same problem...no low end torqe or power.....just got through replacing both solonoids and fixed her right up....she's got power enough for two cars!
Complacent....with a side of apathy.....just right!
I would like to replace my VRIS solonoids but i dont know where they are located... what they look like.... or how much they cost.. can somebody give me a clue? THANKS
they are mounted on the back of the intake manifold next to the firewall....in the center.....they have two plugs in the top of them...one of the plugs will be a tan color and the solonoids themselves will have a little mitsubishi logo on them. I got mine at the dealer for $68.00 a piece.
