When you unlock the car from the driver side...the passenger side unlocks...and vice-versa.

I always have to wait til my passenger shuts their door to flip the switch, otherwise it flips back open when the door latches. Anybody does everyone's 6 do this? or is it just a fluke?

Mine too. It's almost like having power locks. Kind of like the anti-theft system we almost have!!

you can tell your passengers to close the door while holding the handle. But then again, ppl are too stupid to understand the concept

I too have had the problems with the passenger side door lock and will now use the advice. Has anyone ever added a remote lock/unlock to his MX-6?

i'm going to look into it in a few weeks, i tired of passengers that can't lock the door right.

Just lock the driverside door with your key when you close your door. It takes 2 seconds. Both doors locked.

Problem solved.

hah, never mind that mess. its even worse having to tell your friends not to shut the door by the window over and over. my window is becoming flimsy on the passenger side and the window has problems rolling up sometimes too

It's easy to add power locks, especially if you have an alarm already. If you don't, just get a remote/module and a kit with the actuator in it. Mount the actuator in drivers door and your set to go...I never use the key to open the door anymore, since the locks suck.
