Factory alarm sensor

I have a 93 LS with the original factory alarm and factory "power door locks" (passenger side actuator activates when driverside lock is manually opened or closed).
I want to install a keyless entry system and I realize that this will involve having to install an actuator in the drivers side door.
My question is this.....Is there ANY way I can use the factory alarm system in conjunction with an aftermarket keyless entry system? There has to be a sensor that gets signaled when the driver side door is unlocked to deactivate the factory alarm. Has anyone had any experience with locating that switch or sensor and tapping it to send a signal to the factory alarm and instruct it to shut off?

The factory alarm is very simple.

Your best bet, is get a good after market alarm, that incorporates keyless entry, remote start, start disable, audible and visual confirmation. You will appreciate the more features an after market alarm offers.

As for wiring in the factory alarm, you would need to rig up a relay system, that would send a signal to the factory alarm telling it to arm and disarm. Disarming is done through the door locks, I think driver and trunk. Arming is through locking both doors from driver side, then closing door while holding up door handle.

If you install an aftermarket alarm, you can permanently disable the factory alarm by disconnecting the hood switch, located in the front hood latch assembly.

I had a Viper Keyless Entry installed a couple weeks ago. Yeah, they had to put an actuator on the driver's side.
Within the first few hours after picking it up, the alarm would sound, more times than not, when I used the "unlock" button. It didn't happen EVERY time, but at least half the times.
Anyway, I did a search on here and found that you can disable the factory alarm by un-connecting a plug behind the hood latch assembly. Apparently this makes the car think that the hood is always open, which prevents the alarm from arming itself. This took about 3 minutes - Two minutes to find and fish this connection out from behind the latch assemby and one minute to get it disconnected.
In summary, I have keyless entry, but no alarm. I live in an area where I'm fairly confident I don't have to worry too much about anyone breaking into the car, so having no alarm is by far outweighed by the convenience factor of the keyless entry. Especially with it being so cold lately and our keys having that weak point to where they bend and break.
Good luck!

My thinking also. I have an aftermarket alarm with a toggle switch that turns on/off alarm so you can use the keyless without alarm. Much better than the [shizzle]ty keys.
My trunk lock don't work anyway, have to use the floor release to open it.
