Cool ? on parking brake cable and best prices

Hey guys,

I'm finally driving my 94 mx6 again as gas as getting to expensive to drive my Lex all the time. I forgot how much I love drivingthe MX6 Well, the car has been sitting for about a year. I changed all the fluids and dumped in a can of seafoam and it runs awesome. However, as I was driving around today the parking brake cable snapped somewhere. I'm thinking it the front cable. I jacked it up but couldn't see much. I have a chiltons manual, however, it doesn't say whether the exhaust and or sheilding has to be removed to access the point where the front cable ties into the rear cable, so has anyone done this and can let me know what needs to removed? Also, who has the best prices on OEM parts? TIA I searched, however, I didn't find the answers to the questions I asked.

cable

I did my front cable a few months ago and it was not nice. You have to remove the heat sheild and unless you have small hands you have to drop the exhaust for it is right on top where it connects. I bought my upper cable from the dealer and it was $33 canadian. Make sure your back calapers won't seize when you pull it cause that happened to me. Good luck

Superduper, that's what I was afraid of, what a PITA! Thanks for confirming it.
