have u actually checked for spark? if there's none, then the usual ignitor bug might've struck. there's a thread in the projects section on how to install the hei mod to fix it.

If my reply is helpful please leave me some karma

first off, check for spark by getting a spare plug, pulling your spark plug wire out and plugging the spare plug in. make sure the plug is grounded with the block then try to start the car up. if you dont see any spark, chances are you need a new distributor. Also, your squeaking is probably one of your accessory belts. if you want to make sure, just have a buddy listen for that area while you try to start the car

Last night I dreamed I was a muffler... needless to say I woke up exhausted.

well the wierd thing about the squeking is that it didn't start happening until after my uncle (master mechanic in his own mind put water into the coolant filler cap.so im thinking that it has something to do with that.

probably just spilled some down onto the belts. If so the squeek should go away. I usually spill a bit when I fill my cooling system 50/50 mix of course and it will squeek for a little while.
