There are so many threads around that sort of hit on this, but none really take it in depth, so I was wondering, of the KL03, KLZE, FSZE, and FS02, which seems to hold up the best to heavy moding. If you had any to build up, which would it be?
if you already have a 2.0 4cyl., keep the engine u have and build it up, forged pistons, rods etc..then turbo it..
trust me, its not worth swapping a v6 into, and if the v6 route is the route you want to take, your better off selling ur 4cyl. and buying a v6, will save you alot of trouble and headache..
if you have a v6 already, most people swap a ZE in it, then turbo it.
However if it were up to me, and i had a v6, i would keep the 03 that in it and completly build the bottom end, all forged, as it will handle about 3times the amount of boost a ZE will.....
^How so, a boosted, built v6 will hold just as much boost with lower compression then the 4cylinder will, plus it will make more power in the long run without working so hard.
As you said though, all based on personal opinion. The 4cylinder is easier to boost then the V6 stock though because there is more room to put stuff.

i never said anything about a "built" v6.....of course it will have more power, it has 2 more pistons, i would hope it would...but everyone knows, that there are pretty much "no" fully built v6's on here..as i said, pretty much, im sure there is atleast 1 or 2 still active....personally, i think that there is too much money would be involved to do it..thats why no one does..
ans as you said too, a 4cyl. is just soooo much easier, because of room...

I agree, if you already have the 2.0L I4 .. stick with it and build it. If you already have a V6 ... stick with it and build it. Evos and SRT4's only have lil' 4 cylinders and look at what they do!
Basically, the fact of the matter is, if you go spending money on buying a new car I gaurantee you, that you will postpone any boosting way into the future!
