The ignitor module inside the 93-94 distributors are very prone to failure, fortunately, this can be repaired quickly and inexpensively with a HEI module.

The following links have contain great info in the HEI MOD>
http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-faq-per...l-install.html (Project: HEI Module & External Coil Install)
ProjectMazda :: HEI Ignition Module install

Also, here is a diagram for the HEI wiring (on a 93-94)>
(Note, that no internal modifications need to be done to the disty when using the internal coil)

Also check the ENG INJ fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

looks like the coil is out of the range as in the way for resistance. so is that something that is a independent part for the distributer or is it all one part. And recommended place to get one
thanks Ryan

I suggest doing the HEI mod with the external coil. (it will cost a fraction of the price of a new disty)

If you dont want to modify a disty cap , PRD makes a modified cap for just such an application.

The following are mazda/ford Part numbers for the coil itself, as listed in the TSBs.
KLY1-18-V80 (Mazda)
F32Z-12029-AA (Ford)

I have no idea what they will charge for one of the above, as a new disty costs in excess off 300 bucks. (Alternatively, you can get a second-hand one from a wrecking yard)

If your coil is fried, replacing the coil will fix your problem. However, the HEI mod with external coil remains a good idea, as any future failures can be repaired quickly and swiftly.

Do you have any malfunction codes? (a similtainious failure of both the crank and cam sensors can cause a no-start in the 93-94)

Have you checked the EGI-INJ fuse as suggested by Gehofff?
