I always remember reading that if the stock security system is messed with in the ls's, that the car will start but then SHORTLY after shut itself down entirely. Only way to remedy this is to take it to the dealer so they can rewire the system.
Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call when you are unable to speak?

Bummer! I haven't messed wit' the security system
but, it appears as if it has been triggered. I don't have a horn blowing but I do have the flashing lights and no crank.
Let me start off by saying I don't have a clue.. Have you tried disconnecting the wires for the alarm in the hood latch to disable the alarm? When you say lights flashing I assume this is on its own, ie. you aren't doing it. Does your horn work at all? I don't know of any online documentation for wiring, Haynes repair manual has some wiring diagrams though.

hiXeon, thanx for the reply.
I haven't tried anything yet, except a new battery. You say the alarm can be disabled at the hood latch? Under hood or dash?
What happens is, turn the key to start, the
hazard flashers start, motor doesn't. The horn is not activated as if alarming. Flashers continue for a minute or so then quit. Horn works great, no evidence of low voltage. Does Haynes make a MX6 specific manual or do I buy the Probe manual? I
may have wiring harness issues, the A/C heat
air outlet controls quit a month or so back. And
then the airbag light started flashing a code. I
don't know how many ECU's control all this stuff
but I guess I'm due to learn. My MR2 has seperate
ECU's for each of these functions, but I suspect
the MX6 uses only one. Or none of these problems
are related.
The wiring is on the inside of the hood for the hood latch. It is there in case someone unlatches the hood while that alarm is activated. Generally once the alarm is activated, it will shut off once power is taken away or at least mine did when I was having problems with it. My problem was in the shut off via the drivers side door lock. Replacing your battery should have definitely taken away power, but it sounds like yours is permanently on for some reason. Open the circuit in the hood latch and see if that helps to disable it. Your horn should be blowing also, I'm gonna have to look at my diagrams too. The Haynes manual is for Mazda 626 & MX6 and Ford Probe 93-98 for all models. Tres weird...

UPDATE!
hi, thanx to everyone for offering advise and help.
Here's how it finally turned out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
1 Direct test starter. Cranks
2 Leave existing solenoid supply wire connected and add start switch wired to solenoid.
3 Car started and ran, still with all dash lights, parking lights, hazards etc flashing.
Associated relay noises clicking in dash right behind drink holder.
The flashing and clicking quit after 2minutes and everything functioned normally
ie turn signals flashers etc.
4 Take dash a part and find remote keyless entry /starting ECU, some after market
add on trouble maker brand name (your) VALET. Model 711T. Well when I unplugged
this black box everything worked as normal.
5 I now have an extra start switch on the dash. (grin)
Dealer add on I'm sure, I'm owner 2 and I bought it off of original dealer . PO traded
on a Miata.
aight in my 93 probe gt i got the alarm, and underneath my dash on the top of my fuse box there is a lil switch, and i flip that and the car will start has happen to me, i make it a habit not just checkin it, but i would look to see if you got that switch and then i would flip and try to start it but check back if that don't work
