Vac Hoses / Rough Idle

Hey guys -

Finally getting around to working on the six again after a long break. In a previous post I mentioned that during my busy time, I had another member on here install a ZE IM/TB on my six, along with some really crappy body work.

Come to find out, he seems to of botched most of the ZE IM install too. I've gotten it remounted with my Pheno spacers and started the car....it starts, but runs incredibly rough.

I'm almost 100% sure the vac lines are screwed up, and I began tracing them with the diagram floating around here and because it's a ZE IM, couldn't get the vac lines straightened out.

I'm now wondering if I should just pull the IM and start over, or see if I can figure out what is mis-connected and get it reconnected from where I'm at.

Also, I'm curious as to if the vac lines being messed up is enough to cause a very, very rough idle. The car will run, given gas, but is extremely rich and if you let off the pedal, it will slowly rev down and then die out after holding around 4-500 RPM.

Any tips for sorting out the rough idle and/or the vac lines would be most appreciated.

-Kris
