How do they run the piping so that the cross member doesn't need modification?

It's getting there.

Bah... Screw the kits... Custom is the way to go! For that price you could pick up a used mig, a pretty decent rebuilt turbo, an I/C and all the piping and flanges your heart could desire! My tally for parts on the other ride is $600 CAD that's with everything (I already had the mig welder), and you can be as creative as you want. In the end, you get a one of a kind kit, and feel damn good about yourself to see what you accomplished!

If you wanna go that route, pm me, I'll offer any assistance I can.

This appears to be the same pipes that were sold in the PT bulkbuy not long ago. The location is CA, same place those pipes were sold from.

They do not run under the crossmember the run above it giving you better ground clearance than other kits sold. Thats the biggest reason I bought a set. I cant speak for the intercooler setup and other parts but the pipes are quality. I was under the impression the battery had to be relocated. If not thats even better in my book.

with this kit it would be to much pipng going around!, imaging for the fmic!! it is going to be a hassle!!, your better off finding just the pipes on ebay, type "mx6 turbo pipes". use those and the rest is gonna be custom!! thats my .02cents

My bad, they go on top of the motor mount. For some reason I thought I saw picture of it going under the x-member, I probably got it mixed up with another kit. Pictures can be found in that thread.

BulkBuy - New Design V6 Turbo Hot Pipes. Keep your Cross member intact! - ProbeTalk.com Forums

They are the same as the bulk buy kit, but I doubt that the seller is the same person. These things are made in China, as long as you get a hold of the factory, anyone can by it.

Got it..

99.99% sure this is the same kit up on ebay : v6 Turbo pipes / kit. mx-3, 6, probe New Design bb #2 - ProbeTalk.com Forums

Here's the fitment info:

Thermostat housing neck, needs to be shortened a few inches and new lower radiator
hose bend(s) need to be made/routed. Simple trip to you local auto parts store for the hose bends,
and a hack saw, grinder ect, to trim down the neck. imo a simple job.

Pipes require the use of klde obdI exhaust logs.

Hangars are on the opposite side of where they should be, not exactly a problem and they still work.

They have been tested and do Fit, MX-6, MX-3 and of course the Probe.

Probe fit :
Clutch line bent slightly downwards for extra clearance from pipes.

MX-6 fit :
The DP comes into contact with the Fan Shroud(s) . This can be remedied with Slim fans (best option) or you could modify the Shrouds (ehh) .
AC Lines have to be repositioned/bent to accommodate for the Wastegate. Clutch line bent slightly downwards for extra clearance from pipes.

MX-3 fit:
Turbo may come in contact with radiator fill, modification/relocation is required to this part. Clutch line bent slightly downwards for extra clearance from pipes.

A sucker is born every minute, doesnt take much to BS your way into a sale.

Your not going to make 250hp on stock fuel system, if you do..its not for long and its not safe on the motor. You wont be doing it with that kit alone either.

I like how they dont supply any specs on anything, such as the turbo. Does anyone care what A/R / trim it is?

How do you keep a stock battery position with a kit that puts the turbo right in the battery tray area.?

Easy install? Based on what? How do the IC pipes fit.. what modifications are needed to make it fit? I can honestly say your not fitting that IC with 2.5 pipes in the stock bumper very easily.

All Id use out of that kit is the hot pipes. Everything else Id do individually and custom..unless you want the common ricer bolt on in your drive way and use what ever you can find around the house type of setup.

^^ it's true though, as far as i have learned from turbos!, you will need a better fuel system and the only good thing about the kit is the pipes!. but there is another piping kit that allows you to use headers on e-bay!!. they go for 200-300$, use the pipes but go custom on everything else
