Code 3 1995 will not run, experienced pros only need apply!

Well I'm beyond baffled, its been 10 days since I've had a running car.

Problem
Car will idle, it chugs but doesn't misfire. It will die after a minute or if I give it any gas. The only CEL is a code three (Camshaft position sensor)

Attempted fixes
-new disty
-new cps
-new ecu
-timing belt lines up

Does any one have any Ideas?

Use a 5lb sledge hammer on it.

A big hammer fix's everything.

, what led up to this problem? History!?.

Sounds like it could be the vaf.

If you have a Haynes Manual i would suggest testing VAF as stated above. Tps Sensor check voltage and replace if needed.

: VAf Sensor

: TPS Sensor

: Fuel Filter

: All Fuses in Engine Compartment

If you Could Take a Short Video and post it up. Im sure i could be more helpfull in the situation.

Also, try adjusting your idle a bit and see if that helps. the tps can stall your car out if it is just .2 off.

It ran just fine up until it quite on me, I'll give the vaf a go. I tried the tps you can just unplug that and it will start with a cel... I just don't understand the code 3.

and I just figured out what it was.... The wire harness that runs to the cps, and coolant sensors was resting on my exhaust manifold and it burned through everything. Let the rewire begin!!!

Good!! Cause i was about ready to send a shipping truck to pick it up from you.

As long as you have a manual with the wiring diagrams. You'd have it wired in about an hr. Make sure to wrap with electrical tape and use zip ties to keep them stationary. Good luck friend.
