Question Piston Size and Ring question

Sup all,

I bought this car used with some work done. No idea if these pistons are stock or not. They are marked 020 on the face. Does this mean they are bored 20 over? Will I need .020 rings to match? It also bent a rod, so will I be able to use a stock size rod as a replacement with this piston?

The piston/rod which was taken out did not have the snap rings in this picture. Am I supposed to have them? How else do I disconnect the pair? Pressure pin?

Thanks.

Looks like an oversized one to me because of the 020 stamping... but I can't be 100% sure.

Here's my stock ZE piston:

There are no other stamping on them.

Hmm, did ZE and DE share the same pistons? If so, then I found my answer.

Well that answers that...

What's the stock bore in mm of the DE? You think I'd be able to measure the .020in difference?

I think it's 84.5mm or something. You'd have to measure real accurately.

KLZE/KLDE Comparitave Information along with Prices!

Looks like they share the same bore and stroke. But, the ZE has higher comp. pistons, but not any bit larger. Essentially the same if you ordered 10:1 cr pistons from some company, they'd just be ZE's.

However, I am going to second that overbore. Possibly the engine got rebuilt once before, and they honed the cylinder walls out and such, and went a bit larger when they did so, would be my guess.
