now before you guys say "search the threads" I have already done that multiple times, spray WD-40 and using grease on just about anything connected to the clutch pedal and still squeaks.
Now a friend who used to work on the car before I bought it said it might be the pressure plate?? Saying that the dust from the clutch disc is causing it. If this is true would I just have to change my pressure plate and clutch disc and might as well put in a 9lb flywheel while I'm down there, and the squeaks will go away? car now has 180,400 on it, any suggestions will help thank you.
pin? wheres that located? If its under the dash, last I checked I didn't see anything rusty but like I said b4 I greased everything connected to the clutch pedal. But if I'm looking at the wrong place, kindly show me where...
squeaky clutch pedal, most likely caused by the pedal return spring... check it out... I have the same issue and have found that the spring is what is causing the noise. no idea how to fix it as of yet (maybe new one), lubrication was a temporary solution.
i also have this problem, i bought the car about a month ago, and a week later it was squeaking i havent figured out the problem but it could be the return spring, if the dealership lubed it up and a week later it was squeaking again but i have noidea
lol I have, but I trying to make my 6 perfect without any flaws. I'm a neat freak when it comes to cars, too bad I can't stay the same way with my room. But I'll check again under the dash to see if I missed anything.
I had this problem too. I still get it every once in a while. My squeaking was coming from two places: the clutch pedal spring inside the car, AND, (this one took me a while to figure out) the release arm on the transmission.
If you know where the clutch slave cylinder is, the arm that the slave cylinder pushes on when you clutch is the release arm. There is a little rubber boot over top of where the arm goes into the tranny. I took WD40 with the little red straw on, stuck it into the boot and into the tranny and sprayed. No more squeaks.
