Oh...better look into it further then...you sure it's not out of the 6cyl?

Edit: Rock Auto shows the same part numbers for the Ford and Mazda 4cyl auto trannies.

I dont understand the question. I have a four cylinder, but i see where the filter goes now, however does it have a seperate pan since the filters on the front on the trans?

I really appreciate that. So you think that the filter could be picking up scraps and thats whats causing the trans to not work and flash the "hold" light?
