What is the sensor on the front of the Manual trans in a 2.5L with two wires coming out of it? It threads into the tranny. I thought It was the speed sensor at first.
That's it, thank you. I should have checked on Alldata before I left the shop. No speedo, I'm guessing it's a loose connection on the cluster(hoping anyway).
theres a plug coming off the back in about the same area. try unpluging that and pluggin it back in. mine was pretty easy to get to. I had removed my egr and my speedo stopped working. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in and it started working
.
It will sometimes start working when I hit a bump. The car set for an extended period of time and I decided to get it back on the road. I replaced the friction gear springs over the weekend and now I just need to get the speedo working so I can drive it further than from my house and to work and back. I only live two minutes from work.
Well, my trip meter works. I'm assuming my Odometer works as well. I put it on the rack at work, put it in gear and messed around with the cluster. I was gonna test the VSS, but since the trip is working the VSS must be sending a signal. Looks like I need a speedo head.
