timing belt goes off track
I completed the repair on my previous threads, and got the new tensioner bolt in solid and straight.
However, I am having the same problem that caused the previous tensioner bolt to break. The timing belt starts to go behind the tensioner pulley, and soon goes off track on the camshaft pulley. It only takes 2 or 3 times around before this happens.
I can't figure out what is causing this. Should I put the old tensioner bracket and pulley back on, and see what happens ? I guess I will try. The timing belt is nice and tight when I release the pin from the hydraulic tensioner.
The tensioner bracket can't go any closer to the engine wall that it already is.
