205 vs 195 tires

I have 2 195/55-15 tires, and 2 205/55-15 tires on my car. all tires are in like new condition. very similar tread. will it make a difference for winter, burnouts, breaking, handling, etc. to put the 205's or the 195's on the front? Thanks.

195s are slightly narrower and will move you through snow better.
on dry pavement the 205s will provide better breaking.
it makes practically no difference when breaking on ice,
its all about using the proper touch on the pedal.
and burnouts are easy with either tire on winter roads.
the coolest winter burnouts i've seen were from my friends 69 couger with chains on...35' tails complete with sparks

also the 195/55/15 arent as tall as the 205/55/15. i dont know how this will affect your speedometer and odometer with two different sizes on there.
anyway, the 195s are 1 cm narrower and 1/2" shorter

won't make any difference on tire height. 3 digit number is width of tire in mm. and 2 digit is height of sidewall. numbers have nothing to do with each other.

wrong

the 2 digit number is a proportion of the width
55% of 195 is smaller then 55% of 205
but when i do the math i get 5.5 mm difference not 1/2"

take one of each off and stand them up next to each other

i meant the total height of the tire
205/55/15= 23.9" diameter
195/55/15= 23.4" diameter
