ever drive without the stock muffler

i took off my muffler where it unbolts just infront of the wheels it is crazy loud man does it rap , i even got a few compliments but i have to put it back on before the po po catch me

I have driven with just the manifolds, When my catalytic convertor was clogged. I took it off just to be sure. That was loud

I had been driving like that for 6 months...ran over a big speed bump too fast and the exhaust broke off at the front of the muffler. Had a new piece welded on for $10 at a local shop cuz it was too loud to hear the music with the windows down.

My 96 even has the pre-cats, and it was still freaking loud!

My exhaust pipe was hangin' down from the cat. That thing was sooo loud, I couldn't hear the music. At this time the back window wasn't shakin' from the 12" subs in the trunk. It was from the exhaust!
