farking mirror!

this isnt a question, more of a how to.

im sure im not the only one having trouble getting my mirror to stick in this heat.

i've tried all the glues at the parts store. it will work for a day.

then i bought a two part epoxy from home depot (a glue, then a hardener, almost like bondo) then i scraped the windshield clean with a razor, followed up by acetone.. i did the same with the mirror button that u glue on.. this epoxy was incredibly strong.. i glued myself to myself at one point (noooooo not that) and it was more of a pain to get off than crazy glue.

let it cure for 2 days. put mirror on "button", screw it on moderately but not overly tight.

it falls off 2 hours later while the car isnt even moving.

so i took some L brackets, bent them to approx./ where i want the mirror aimed.. used the same glue to glue the damn thing to the brackets (removed the arm) and got one of those panoramic mirrors... its not fixed in place.. non adjustable, but i can see everything and it wont fall off.. yay.

i hate these damn mirrors.

I had the same problem! I had to try like 5 time before it finally stayed up. Not really sure why it kept falling, or why it works now, but it has stayed up for like 6 months, wtf?!

The rythm is gonna get me!
