Removing the Security System

The security system on my '93/LS is pretty useless. The only way i've found it will go off is if you pop the trunk while it's activated. It might go off if a window breaks, but I haven't tested that.

So...
How would I remove, or at the very least disable, my security system?

This was covered a LONG time ago so I don't know if search will pick it up. Basically you can't remove it, but you CAN disable or bypass it. These four conditions have to be met before the system will arm: 1) drivers door closed & locked, 2) passenger door closed & locked, 3) trunk closed, & 4) hood closed. So to bypass it, you have to make it think one of those isn't met. The easiest is the hood or trunk...find the switch that tells the system that one of those is closed and you'll have it.

BTW...the alarm will not go off if a window is broken. It will only go off if one of the 4 entrances is opened without the alarm being disarmed....like if you armed it and unlocked the door without the key, and then opened it, or if you opened the trunk or hood while armed.
