Never seen one in real life. But from the production photographs, they appear to be wonderful. They do appear to be better suited for boosted applications though.
Someone on probetalk made one like it. that it was stated, you can wate your money on a tubro as much as it cost and get better power. i have e-mailed them and they never got in contact with me. so who knows they are still in business. ans last time i checked the manifolds has leaks in it, plus you loose torque, a lot of torque i think..
2010 MAZDASPEED3
1996 Mazda MX-6 M-edition- longest build ever...
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST <-- the next build..
yeah no one has heard from them in a while. their site hasn't been updated for a long time either. and there was one like it, but the guy had a bulk buy then never got around to making them after collecting the money. atleast thats what i heard. i remember someone on probetalk complaining about something like that.
We apologize to all of the people who have been patiently waiting for our manifolds. As of this week, two people have received their SPE manifold. If you are on the list (you know who you are), then your manifold is coming.
i wonder who those 2 are...i really wish they could maintain their website better. its been neglected for so long. if all goes well i hope to see some of those on boosted car....
I dont think low end torque is needed that much. If your putting out a decent amount of power than ur gonna spin in first gear with most likely any tire. So you lose a little low end tourqe and u wont spin quite as bad, but when u clime up those rpm's thats when all the action happens. I mean when u race, first gear is the only gear you use low rpm's. You should be above 5000 the whole race after first gear. So why is low end tourqe so important if you're gonna use it to make a smoke show. Well this is just my opinion anyway, plus i prefer to have lots of top end thats why i like my mx6 tranny over the pobe, longer 5th gear.

If you plan on using your car for racing only, then you are right on there. However, if you use it for daily driving... You're going to want that low end torque to power the wheels when you're taking off to get better gas mileage.
yea, i guss i could see both sides. Gas is getting a little to expensive plus summer is around the corner. But i gat a 626 es for daily driving but im afraid when i get my mx6 running again that im gonna drive it all the time. It will be very tempting.
they got back to me fast when i asked them some questions. Also you can get longer or shorter runners for higher end or lower end torque. But when it comes down to it. Not everyone can make something like that. Not much of a choice if you need to make more power.
