vaccum line????????

on my car i was changing the gas filter and a vaccum line came off on i cant figure out where it goes it is the little one on the intake manifold in the front

Get a long length of vacuum line and a butt connector, attach the free ends then lead it into the drivers window and suck on the hose when you drive. Suck harder at idle and less while speeding up, you'll get the hang of it.

When the car is running, is there vacuum being pulled from it? .. or is there nothing?

If its nothing, its probaly just the breather vac line. It doesnt need to be connected.

If there is vacuum being pulled on it,
it could be to the cruise control or charcoal canister.
