I am doing the same thing, there are TONS of discussions here about what suspension components to throw into our cars here, do a search with some key words, "suspension, struts, springs" you get the idea. I am thinking Tokico with Eibach's would work well.

KYB gas struts and eibachs springs is a good setup. if you want to make you suspension badass get some AWR suspension components

"go as low as you can" depending on what wheels you are running. 4 oem wheels go with least 1.5 . Again that's at the very minimum

The KYB's are just OEM replacements, so you might not get the same performance and longevity as you would if you bought the Tokico Blues.

gotta agree with everyone here. there have been tons of threads discussing this exact mod, so follow their advice.

me? i have eibach pro-kits and tokico illuminas on my mx-6. they do the job alright for daily driving and give the car a decent stance with the stock wheels or even 16's & 17's.

on my probe gt, i have a set of tein super street dampers. those might be a little overkill for you if you're loooking for something quick and relatively cheap.

It only takes stock springs and struts to keep up with you though right Damon? J/K, I know it was cause of my tires...

well, i was only driving at 50-60% of what i would normally would on that road.

but like i kept saying all day, the 6 does pretty well with less suspension mods than the probe would need. and your tires were are really nice.

mmm...suspension. Im personally going dropzone and tokico blues cause its cost efficient.

Dropzones are supposed to be a 1.8" drop which is more than the Eibachs but I believe the Eibachs perform better. Just do some research on here and probetalk and find out what will suit your needs best.

Look at my avatar. That is with Blues and Eibachs. I love them because they handle great and they aren't too harsh for DD. Then again, my car is a really fun DD.

97 C8 MX6 LS-S : Supercharged StreetThisMx6's motor, HP's and Eibach's, AWR suspension components, FD's and J-specs, etc... Yeah it's nice

I've searched, but I can't seem to find the answer.

I understand that 2g struts can work on a 1g car, but what about the springs only? Will 2g springs fit on a 1g strut? Are they physically different, or just different height/rate or whatever.

There seems to be very little choice for 1g springs, but a lot of options for the 2g.

TIA
Richard

2G springs are physically different from 1G springs.

i know eibach and intrax make 1G springs because my gf had both on her cars at one time. they do their job and perform well. just make sure to use a good aftermarket strut with them and not the OEM replacements.
