I'm sure no one has "baught" them, but they might have BOUGHT them.
There is no such thing as "JDM" coilovers... what you see is typical Ebay crap coilovers that are more or less the same as every other cheap brand you see on there. You'll find plenty of reviews of Ebay coilovers if you search. |

Those are aftermarket coilovers.
JDM means that the parts are OEM on Japanese market cars (headlight projectors, engines, wheels, etc.). Just because it may be manufactured in Japan, doesn't make it JDM. |

They always put JDM on everything on ebay. Those ebay coilovers are ok I had a set before my dzs and after my cut springs. They were "ok" the spring rates didnt seem right, It would bounce too much. EVEN with nice tokico blues.
Its almost like they were universal and nobody bothered to check spring rates of the car before making them. Just save get something better. |

They wont be comfortable thats for sure. It will have a bit of bounce to it....but really that depends on your struts. My tokicos handled them pretty well and keep them from bouncing. But if you already have them on the way you might as well use them.
I wouldnt go slamming into corners with them they are not good, they are just for the look of low. They dont really help handling...prob actually hurt it. |

I ordered some off of ebay, basically no-name brand and if you look carefully, you'll see that a lot of ebay sellers get a whole bunch made and sell them as if they could fit on all cars, i got screwed bad. they sent me coilovers for a honda civic. they do not fit on stock struts. Id cancle the transaction as soon as possible if it is the same kind im talking about.
eBay Motors: 93-97 Mazda MX6 MX-6 Coilover Lowering Springs 94 95 96 (item 320203378355 end time Jan-08-08 15:30:31 PST) check that link out, if it resembles those, then check out the sellers other items to see that they sell the same product for many differant cars. doesnt make sence. |

How is Korea any worse then China or Taiwan? Either one is hit an miss, I would say China is a better shot at quality though, simply because they are bound to get good at making knock off parts. And there is a difference between the actual company outsourcing their production to China compared to some dodgy ebay company who takes a photo of genuine product and gets it replicated in China.
I bet that the bulk of any Japanese brand (Tein, Tanabe etc) suspension stuff (and everything really) is made in China. They probably assemble them in Japan to be able to say "Made in Japan" while 95% of manufturing is done in China as well as materials. |
