KLZE Swap Help

I currently have a 1996 m edition and im putting the klze in with the obdII wiring harness what can i do to get the full power. I have heard to put the j spec ecu and vaf in but i cant find either. i have also heard find someone who makes chips but i cant find one for the obdII.

AFAIK, chips arent made for any OBD2 6's. As far as the ZE goes, u cant just drop them into OBD2 cars, they dont come with the emissions hookups that u need and the JDM ecu/vaf combo also wont work for that same reason, Japan uses a differnt system than an EGR.

To get a ZE to run in a OBD2 with the least amount of work would require taking out your OBD2 engine wiring harness and putting in a OBD1 harness, as long as this wouldnt break too many laws in NC and would still allow u to pass emissions if u have to do that.

what if i was to swap out the vaf and throw in a megasquirt ecu

that could work, run the MS piggyback to the original ECU, and have the original ecu run the EGR system you would need to hookup.

I would advise u to send Radar a PM, he should be able to help you out, he done lots of cars with MS.
