The K-rating has nothing to do with operating temperature, so running 12000k is the same as running 4300k, and HID consume less power than halogen which mean less heat.

The halo looks cool, but the cheap plastic housing is what other dislikes.

yes you can change the leds out. I have done it as well as many others on here. all you do is pull the old ones out slip them off get the right led and resistor solder them in place of the old ones and then pop them back in. it will take you maybe a hour. it looks better now that they match my car color but halos still suck it will be a good day when I can get my retros done!

When I had the stock setup for my angel eyes I upgraded the leds. I replaced them with 360 degree viewing angle leds from Super Bright LEDs - LEDs I had to drill the hole out a little because I got the 8mm leds (9000k lumens) for more light. Looked ok but I wanted HID's so I retrofitted S13 projectors into the angel eyes and then got a hid setup.

Call me what you want, just dont call me late for dinner!

It was easy to install the halos, i took a flat head screw driver and popped off the rubber piece behind the headlight, took the headilght out and switched it. Then i cut off the piece that plugs into the headilght bulb and splice the appropriate wires together and wala, lights that blind everyone. I only get the finger about once a month. I have 12000k's in mine though and it already saved me from smaking a deer so it paid itself off in my eyes. I am switching back to stock headlights though, customizing them like Stealths write-up (excellent write up by the way) and using the TSX projectors, i feel bad for people that have to look into my headlights and the brackets on the halos just blow.
