What sources?
I doubt you can actually read, but if you try you might be able to decipher the text in my post where i mentioned that i would link the information i was discussing if it weren't in a printed journal. thanks, but once you get out of high school you will see that wikipedia is not considered a source of facts for anything by a single professional in any business. Seriously, [fizzle] off bitch.

So 90% is used for feed but why in the hell are corn products going up if ethanol is not effecting it? The cost of fuel to get it to the markets and the bull that ethanol is causing shortages. Hmm isn't funny how all of sudden there are shortages with everything? It's like in corporate America it is Vogue to have shortages right now. It is all a sham against us the "American" consumer. We have Billions of barrels of oil right uynder our Arses that they do not want to drill for in this country. The petroleum industry does not want capacity high plain and simple. This way they can keep making 40 billion in profit, quarterly, forever. Why woudl you not want to make huge profits? Example: There was Conoco refinery in Western KS they jsut shut down killing a samll city. When city fathers begged Conoco to reopen with concessions by the city they said falt out that they do not want the capacity. So that facility sits idle and has for 5-6 years. This was in the KC Star Newspaper a couple of years ago.

For fun e85 might be good but not for a daily unless you buy a Flexfuel car it would be very expensive to convert.

e85

I have been runnin a blend of 50/50 E85 and 93 regular gas in my 91 lxt 626. My afrs are between 13.1 to1 and 13.8 to 1 on 16 psi stock turbo w/ Injecttech chip. seat of the pants the car runs faster, cleaner, and smoother. Though my mileage is worse. o2 must pick up on it. This is on a setup the dynoed 202 hp 298 torque @ wheels on 91octane. Wanna dyno again on my ethanol cocktail. i was wonderin what others thought bout it.

Mazda F2T. Like a Timex.

any one out there still remember enough chem to calculate stoich for the mixtures ;-) I know e85 is 9.7:1

If I am not mistake, target e85 is between 6.9 and 8.5 - just a quick basic number crunch and with a 50/50 mix I'd expect max power to be in the 9:1-10:1 range.

Milage is worse on an ethanol blend because of the less energy per unit volume in ethanol. Remember, you O2 sensor just picks up on free air in the gas, it doesn't care what was in it other than that.
