Where does the MS Protege brakes fit in all this? I can't find where I read it, but I thought someone said the MS Protege brakes are identical to the late model 626 brakes... or was it the regular Protege brakes the same as the 626's? me =

Thanks in advance everybody!
Yeah your stock rear calipers will fit the 98 626 brackets unlike the fronts that need both from the sedan.

The rotors for the MSP 98+ 626 and early mazda 6 are the same but the calipers are all different.

The 6 uses new style castings that may be more rigid than ours or the 626 calipers.

The MSP calipers are suposed to be aluminum but I cant confirm that my self.

quick question

Would RX-8 brakes (caliper and rotor) work on the MX-6 with 18" rims?

Confused....

I heard that RX-8 had a 17 inch spare wheel. So why wouldn't RX-8 brake caliper and rotor work on the MX-6???

RX8 calipers and rotors have been done but I think there was something wrong with the hub size or something else behind there. Whatever it was needed to be machined to fit correctly. It would probably be less expensive to do the Mazda6 ones since they are a direct fit.

Confused....

Well, I went on tirerack.com and for 2004 RX-8, you can get 17 inch wheels and I'm assuming the calipers do fit.
