about k8 cams

hi!
so question...
If I swap my de cams for mx3 k8 cams?
will it make any difference?
I know about polishing and making them fit good is very very painfull process...

P.S.
I was searching forum, but didn't find any direct answer ...

I've read in probetalk that kl31 cams are better - is that right?

well all I search a bit different - so I didn't found that ...
why on probetalk they said it was downgrade but in here in thread "interchangable parts" it was like upgrade?

iirc, the k8 cams didn't give you that much of a gain. It's not worth the hassle, nowadays you can source ze cams for cheap, or have colt cam re-grind your de cams

He already has k8 cams, it's a mx3 and he want's different ones.

Basically if you swap out the cams i wouldn't do it unless they are kl31 cams. I don't think you'd see much difference in power but rather a difference in power band if you go with kl01 cams. The k8 manifold like the ZE's is better for top end power which is what the kl31(ze) cams with give you.

no I don't have k8 cams, just gathering info - consulted with colt cams manager and he said that all is possible as long as I give my old ones to work on - only problem - I live in Latvia - not even close to usa ... so have to think about smth to make it happen

Ohh sorry I missread the first post. I shouldn't makes posts so late at night lol. Stil, I'd find a set of ze cams. You'll spend a lot more for colt cams, especially with shipping.

yes I know - well I'm thinking about buying them in usa and sending to them ... and than back to me ... still thinking - but more than 70% I want to do it ... after I build my audio system
