help on a performance mod

Ok, I drive a 96 LS with an ATX. I am looking to get a new converter for my car. I was thinking test pipe. But i have been told that there are O2 sensors for the Cat. Is this going to be a problem? I did a search on this but never really found too much that would help me. Also, what are the measurements for the High flo cat or a test pipe. What is the diameter of the stock exhaust? how long is the Cat? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

The stock Cat is 17 inches i think.. could be 18.. i think u do have an O2 sensor after the cat.. get a highflow from www.testpipe.com its like $60 for a 2.5" diameter one...

if you don't want a CEL and bad gas mileage you're going to need an O2 simulator. search for it, i forget where u can get them.

The current cat is too restrictive. I want something a little more free flowing.

I would do a High Flow Cat way before I ever did a test pipe.

if you dont have OBD II then there is no point in wasting money on a high flow cat..

high flow cat has about the same backpressure characteristics of a stock cat. go to a muffler shop and buy a universal one with a larger diameter... thats really all a high flow cat has over the stock cat.
