Mustang TB on i4??

A while back someone posted a thread about how the mustang GT's TB would bolt directly to the i4's manifold. lots of people were interested in this idea but the person never responded back. Does anyone know for sure if that is the case? I called the Ford parts dept. locally and they were of no help.

I think the mustangs TB is 60mm and the i4 is 50mm (correct that if Im wrong), so even if it did bolt up, would the car be undriveable because it would idle so high?

check with nolanspawn on pt
he was working on something along these lines
the mustang tb will not directly bolt up
i believe he was working on an adapter plate
the i4 stock tb is 57mm and the max bore is 60
even at that some creative rebuilding is necessary
but my butt dyno really likes my 60mm bored tb

Still working on that idea...havent yielded many results yet...hopefully soon. Ill get back with you. And no its not a direct replacement bolt on. It will require an apapter plate.
