Great reply M.Hicks! As someone who has had the FS-ZE, I will tell you that you will have to either get the OEM OBD-I spec ECU from Japan, or get some type of standalone to tune even close to the 160+ HP it is supposed to have. After I blew my stock motor with a Zex Nitrous 50 shot (dry) I got the FS-ZE for my MP3, and only saw 120 HP and 121 TQ to the wheels. After that, the lemon engine I got from Japan ran low on oil one day, and I had to overhaul it. I ended up going back to the 9.1:1 compression with oversized pistons. I turboed it after that and at 6 PSI I was seeing somewhere around 180 HP to the wheels. And then last month, a rod broke on me after 5 months of boosting happily. I ordered and have Pauter Forged Rods and am waiting on my JE pistons to arrive. Meanwhile I am taking my engine out of my car in my garage. I hope my experiences listed above gives you some insight.
