Looking For some Help.

I have this Minor Issue with my 89 626. For awhile I have had the engine light on. Today I went and changed all my fluids and I changed my air filter as well. Now my engine light stays on for a short while and then it will go off when I driving. When I am at an Idle it comes on, but when I take it over 2000 RPMs it will go off. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks for all your help.

usually when a check engine light comes on it has nothing to do with fluids. However changing coolant and oil would help. But Mostly sensors. Could be an 02 sensor. Or knock, someone else here might be able to narrow down the problem. Try reseting your ECU, its simple, and can't hurt anything.
1) Disconect Battery Ground
2) Depress Brake Pedal for 30 seconds
3) Start up car, let it run for about a minute

Are you sure it's the engine light, and not the low oil pressure warning light???
