Thanks max626 for the possitive comments its much better now than when I first aquired it. Einstein is correct it is a GD and it is a great engine its much quicker than the 01 corolla levin i used to lease.
Just a note to anyone who has a GD that the seat belt buckles have been part of a recall here in Australia a few years ago, so if you have'nt already, get them checked at your local Mazda dealer. Mine were ok but my 929 (also part of the recall) had to be changed which they were free of charge.
Sadly I will probably have to sell the 626 at the end of the year as the wife wants a new car (I know its probably blasphemy here but to a EK Civic) anyway will still have my 929.
sic626 ..
Ps: nice car Ando626 good to see people putting effort into a GD good result and would love to know where you got the spoiler from extremely hard to find here in fact i've never seen a GD with a spoiler before apart from the factory black strip

Here's mine - it's sort of a project/daily driver/work car all in one!

Since then, I have added the following:
  • Engine rebuild (yes, yes, I know, should've been an F2T, but at the time, it was the most feasible option (you find a good F2T engine in Tassie for less then $1500!)
  • New stereo and speakers (Alpine CDA-9833 Headunit, Pioneer 6x9 2-way's
  • Phone car kit
  • fog lights
  • Tinted the windows
  • Rampod filter
  • New Suspension Package. This consists of: 4xKYB Sports Shocks, 4xSports and Tow rated King Springs and all new urathane bushes everywhere

What i'd like to do is get a new ECU, extractors and high-flow cat, and get it resprayed. Any suggestions, help would be great! If anyone knows of anywhere to get a good, reasonably priced respray done in Hobart, tas. I would really appreciate it. Any other colour suggestions?!

BTW. It's great to see so many people supporting a great car!
