Hello from a new member. After reading this thread I just have a short question. I have a newly rebuilt turbo in a 89 GT that I just bought (at least that's what I am told and it appears to be, little or no shaft play etc.). Motor has 101,000 mi. I also have an 88 t-bird turbo assembly. Can I take the compressor wheel and housing from the t-bird and bolt it on? Or, does it need to be rebalanced? The t-bird wheel appears to be in good shape, but not perfect (has the usuall small nicks). Any info is greatly appreciated. My feeling is that it should be balanced, but is it absolutely critical.
