I heard pioneer subs kinda suck no offence dude but I heard 2 12's wiring up perfect and ehhh no. If your amp is only 740w amp and you have 2000w in subs think its enough to power them or if your running them now does anything dim when you bass hits? The doof doof in the your sig is funny

I got 2 of the 1000wt ones, i got this tiny little ancient alpine amp running them and they go alright... im sure they'd be better with a decent monoblock running them!

PS... if your front bar didnt stick out like a snowplough maybe the ambo wouldnt have hit it... some ppl are asking for trouble with these tupperware kits!!!

And now back to original question - no, there probably will not be any difference in sound. Not because of that 200W difference in peak power anyway.

They are both 400w nominal, so as far as I'm concerned, they are the same thing.

Peak power is worthless.

pioneer suck, end of story... go get some Clarion or Fusion gear for cheap good quality sound... you could also try kenwood, but they are a little on the expensive side for what they are... oh and run speakers n subs on NOMINAL power only, any higher you will distortion, any lower, not enough sound, it's a mix ya gotta get right, also, if you run speakers/subs at max power the coil burns out really quick, also the cone deteriates... but yer... Im not a fan of pioneer, but what's the brand of the other ones?

p.s. max watts dont mean [shizzle].... only read rms (nominal) watts

I had a 10" pioneer until I sold it, it sounded just as good as most mid end subs out there. Of course it depends on the box and amp you're useing too.

Bang for your buck they're pretty good, mine was $50 new at futureshop and could make my hair vibrate lol.

Those subs might sound different, you'd have to test them, but I bet the differences will be minimal.
