^ Sweet thanks. Karma to you. bad to use in a home theater setting though, 83db/watt/meter is very poor effeciency. These are best suited for a car audio application judging by the specs. I'd still love to try them though, I thought they were more then 50watts RMS.

50 w/rms means they are great with a passive low pass and your rear speaker outputs

does that mean these could make a small yet pretty good budget setup?

If it weren't for the shape of the basket, I'd replace my rear door speakers with these.

So can someone enlighten me on what sort of amp is suited for running subs like this?

Alpine MRP-F250 4-channel car amplifier 40 watts RMS x 4 at Crutchfield.com
that wouldn't be bad for two of them. i like alpine, and its 40w rms.

haha, measured that spot, the floor vents get in the way. maybe i should just get two and put them in the rear deck. still far off on my list of car stuff.

edit: could cut it larger and run 8's in the rear deck. Parts Express:Tang Band W8-1363SB 8" Subwoofer
