Rear Deck Speakers

Well when playing with my amp I realised that the subs are causing the rear deck speakers to push up when the bass hits hard. It causes the music to get chopped. Sounds like the music is playing through a fan. Anyway I'm thinking about sealing the bottem of them with just some thin wood nothing major just enough to deflect some of the pressure. I need some ideas.

I Was thinking of a dog house style box. With an open front. Just sides and a back, just to deflect the pressure and hopefully not affect the performance or the deck speakers.

Or I was thinking of a square pyramid style box with no point of course. Just the base and maybe two inches tall with a flat top to completely seal off the speaker. But it seemed like overkill. Also I was afraid of how much back pressure a component speaker is made to handle.

I know I could just turn the subs around and face the inside of the car. But it doesn't seem that they play the low notes as strong in my own opinion. Any thoughts or ideas would be awsome.

Something I've seen and I'm curious as to how it will sound is to build a box that spans the width of the car, maybe 6 inches tall, and fit both speakers into it at a spacing that will still allow the speakers to fire up through the stock grilles. Somehow attach the box to the rear deck, and maybe add a port or two that fires through the rear deck too.

If I ever get around to it, that's what I'm going to try. Just another option to think about.

Seems like alot of work but I got it fixed now. My dad fatmatted the whole car including the rear deck, he did the top of it then cut an X in the whole for the speakers and just folded the fatmat around the speakers onto the deck. So I just unpealed them and let them sit infront of the speaker so block them. I'll post some pictures later.
