Grin antenna adapter 1st gen

I cant seem to find out if my 91 needs a antenna adapter or not. I bought a new antenna (non-powered) from crutchfield and cd player and metra kits from Ebay but do I need a adapter for the new antenna? I looked on installer sites, crutchfield and even Metra's main site but they list nothing. So is it safe to say no adapter needed?

and why does everyone list the front speakers as 5 1/4? lol... even metra does.. always cracks me up! I so wish I could cram them in the dash!

by the way my mechanic did the antenna in my last 91 and has already thanked me for allowing him to do it again...he said major knuckle buster!
