Hi. I'm some what confused here. I am thinking about buying 2 Diamond 15 in. D6 subs. I'm confused on whether to get duel 2 ohms or duel 4 ohms and which amp or amps i should select to supply the right amount of power to each sub. Lastly are there any online websites you trust and would recommend to buy from? Thanks for your help.

i tried posting this earlier but it didnt seem to work. im a bit confused here. So say i have 2 15 in. Diamond D6 subs. what amps would i need? Would the Hifonics Hifonics BXi 1206D or the Hifonics BX1205D amps work sufficiently? If so should i get dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?
Thanks

will this work

alright i am new to this whole system thing so this might sounds stupid.. i am looking to get two 12in 1200watt kenwood subs(they are 4ohm and the rmsis 50-400watts).. and a 1000watt monoblock kenwood amp(4ohm---300watts x1).. i dont want to buy a new head unit cause i think my stock one looks better then any aftermarket i could buy.. withh this work out alright or is there another set up i could use..

thanks again

seeing as how you just joined you should know that you NEED to think before you post something like that. the search tool can be your best friend in this forum but only if you use it. ALSO you need to populate your profile with useful info such as make, model, year, mods, etc... so we know how to help you. but dont just post in any forum to ask a question, ESPECIALLY if you dont provide any useful info.
but any ways,[assuming you have a 6 or a probe because you didn't mention anything], you should just replace the stock head because i dont see any way of feasably wiring the RCA's into the back of that unit to hook up the amp.
but once again, read before you post. keep in mind this thread is about OHMs not "how to wire amps 101"

OKay -

crazyjetskiguy - Sorry I missed your post, and I'm surprised nobody else responded! I hope you've solved the problem by now, though...

dmark0287 - SAdrmmr is correct, this is in the wrong thread, please search for one related (search under "RCA adaptors" or "Stock deck, amp" or similar) or start a new one. Other than that, the subject is touched on in teh "basic system design" sticky.
