EOI: Canberra Cruise

Well was just wondering who would be up for a cruise through the national park some time in the future? There's some good roads out there, and twisty bits, don't have any date set, but wondering who here would want to try it?

thx

chris

I'll be up for it, Odin, but I'm pretty busy every weekend in August, but we'll see once the dates firm up.

I'll need to wash the lil hatch back sometime soon, too, lol!

I'm up for it.

National Park?

I had an idea of meeting somewhere in town, like the National Museum, then heading out to the tracking station past the cotter, Tidbinbilla? for a coffee/snack at the cafe there, then on to Tharwa.

August is going to be busy for me too!

Sweet, my friend with the black MR2 will probably be there also.

Sounds like fun!

Do we have a date yet?

Copy from the guy organsing it

Quote:
ACT MR2 Club invites Skylines to our monthly Brindabella hairpin cruise.

It's a short cruise. It will take about 2~3 hours, including meet & greet, hair pin drive and coffee/snack at the Tidbinbilla tracking station. It's a nice little drive.

- Meet at 10:30am, at the National Museum Carpark, Acton.
- Destination is Tidbinbilla tracking station via long way, through Uriarra Rd.

Bring your car, fuel, CB radio if have one (ch 14) and some cash for coffee & snack.

Friends are welcome. But, note that girlfriends & wives usually find this event really boring unless they are driving.

We are car enthusiasts like you & I - sociable, friendly people. Any anti-social behaviour and egoism are not welcome.

We tend to keep our speed at the speed limit. We don't encourage people to be hoons. It's under your discretion, it's your reponsibility.

- Do not attempt any illegal, dangerous maneuvers.
- Drive at your pace, don't be pressured to show off.

Damnit!

I thought it was next month!

Me and Chris (the guy with the turbo mr2) were out and about today wasting time looking at JB hifi and chatting up cute girls.

We *should* have been on the cruise. I should really pay more attention to these things!

Well this past week I have been out of it, some weird flu thing, it was not fun.

Was the cruise good?

Had about 10-12 cars show up, cruised out to Tidbinbilla tracking station, I think that's what it's called, had a bite to eat there and finished up, Took urriara road for the twisties, was good fun . I'm up for it at a later stage, nice roads to take down there.
