NSW + ACT meet (21st september?)

Ok, here is the thread.

Current plan for a 21st September meet at Wollongong like last year (but hoping for less wind...). Then drive to Robertson.

mhale71 has offered to organise the Sydney part of the cruise - so I shall leave that for him.

Canberra people - probably taking direct route - hume/illawarra highway, macquarie pass. Bonus here is getting to do macquare pass both up and down.
meeting place in canberra TBA when there is more than 1 canberra person! suggest meeting mazdaGal somewhere a little way up the road.

I shall edit this post with further info when it becomes known.

I'm in Parkes for a National Show n Shine and meet on the weekend of the 21st
Good spot to meet for Sydney people is The Fairy Meadow Macca's, big Car park, easy to find and fairly Central. Also easy to hop on the Southern Freeway from there aswell.

From Canberra City (Dickson) it would probably take you around 3hours to get there. Freeway until Picton Rd and then follow that all the way down Mt Ousley and into Fairy Meadow.

if you read my post, current plan is to go via Batemans Bay.

and if we went straight to Wollongong it sure wouldnt be via picton road.... turn off at Ilawarra Highway and go down Maquarie pass....

btw Canberra people, total distance for the day if we went via Batemans Bay = 575km + any distance in Wollongong.

If the Mazda's up and running right, I'll be in for the Canberra people.

I'm not too keen on batemans bay way *laughs* I like the idea of a shorter run up.

I did read you first post, and only replied as I couldn't see why you were taking a 4 hour route. Yes Illawarra Hwy down MacPass is shorter again but I thought it might be a bit old you guys going through the pass twice and Picton rd is a very straight forward route to the meet Point I suggested and easy enough too follow.
It was just a suggestion, and I only reply to help you understand the madness of my thinking

put me on the list as a tentative yes, I might have to go to Melbourne for a couple of weeks in September for work, but at this stage, I havent been told for sure when and if.
If I am in town, i'd like to come along, at least one of my cars should be available

84 626 sedan FE SOHC turbo (sleeper) soon to be DOHC
89 626 5 door F2T now with VF34
90 323 sedan B6 SOHC Slug-o-matic DD, sold...too slow
84 626 sedan RF diesel, a slug but at least the fuel economy is good

Any reason? Need a date before people will put names to it. Heh the date determines if i can organise or even come. Cant be later for me unless it is in november. Earlier yeah i guess...

I think maybe so that we can see when everyones best availability is, and choose a date from that.
