i think it was $650 per cf hood but a mould must be made ($1000 for the mould) so thats why i said we get 10 ppl everyone payes $100 then the $650 for the hood

I'm a bit interested, however I'd like to see what the hood for the 2g would look like before I said yes or no. Ie if it's one big scoop or two smaller ones etc.

I'd love one but how the hell would it be freighted. Are these legal in qld? I heard a rumor that carbon is dangerouse 'cause it shatters in an impact and therefor not street legal.

The only stupid question is the one not asked like the only dumb idea is the one not tried

I'm in the best position to get both TX-5 and Mx-6 bonnet made up.

why I have both cars.

Look I can be honest I can get it done if use my contacts but
As said before we can't even get another diff buy going,

If I was too do it i'd do it for myself and it would cost me $2000 for both bonnets but I'm not talking CF presentation type I'm talking you PAINT IT.
But the mould after it's done could be used but would cost alot more to get it to that so call finish with no boubbles etc it would take vaccum if you were to make a large number.
in theory it could be done $1000 for mould plus $200 each bonnet. but the first bonnet would cost say $500.

For me I could do it, but unfortunatly I don't see wasting my time on doing such a thing. For chance to sell a few extra ones for what profit ? I won't be making any so it would be a waste of my time.

Not saying I would make some for myself. But right now I have more important things to spend $2000 on. hell I'd rather blow that money - on getting blown or something.

oh just one thing the reason I'm interestd is if I do one for my mx-6 it wil be custom with vents. Painted. but I only have this in pland for next 12months of mods.

Carbon bonnets

Hey all, are these real complete bonnets for $650. or just outside for looks?
If they are ribbed underneath like a stock bonnet they are cheap. The bonnet would shatter on impact if not strenghtened in the right spots. They look unreal and can be achieved in Perth at a cost that is hard to determine. How many layers?? light weight or strength?? Silver fibreglass twill looks like carbon and looks awesome layed up. Red/carbon, blue/carbon, yellow/carbon are all hybrids we carry. They are twill fabric with kevalr one way and carbon the other. We have gold and silver fabrics as well. All the best in making your car stand out from the rest.
