You can buy a bosch or mitsubishi one at the counter for $60 if you dont want the hassle of removing it off the car.

When I got to the counter with the mine the guy offered me one, but I didnt have any more cash on me at the time so I went with the one I took off the car.

Most of the cars in the lot seem to have mitsubishi ones, but the guy showed me a bosch one at the counter and looked the same, plugs etc. There must have been some EF/EL's with bosch and some with Mitsubishi...I dont know how you pick which model is supposed to have which one.

Rod reckons the regulator is better in the bosch, it may be, I cant say. The idle current test would prove that.
The Mitsubishi one has worked well enough for me but I am not running a monster stereo tho.
