front strut should fit, providing there is bonnet clearance, as for sway bars they possibly both 2ws and 4ws not be able to fit.

had to correct u again lim@weed

for guys wondering. a 2g front strut bar can be modified slightly to fit a 1g. the difference is in the hole spacing at the strut top. the mounting will need to be grinded away a bit to make it fit. also you'll need to play around with the other brackets around there, and seeing which nuts need to be there and which ones can hold brackets and strut bar mounting at the same time. this is because of bonnet clearance.

if you just stick the strut bar striaght ontop of all the other mountings with all the other nuts on, you wont be able to close the bonnet.

if any1 is really interested ill take a pic. but its easily doable, takes about 1/2 an hour. is a fairly easy thing to get your head around, just take the strut bar mountings, go to fit it, see where the holes don't line up and grand away with a dremel etc till it fits. and it wont move around if done properly either, its hard to explain why, but even tho the holes are bigger than the strut bolts, they are in such a way they cant move either side, because of the other bolts (urgh, i don't expect anyone to understand that! :P)

but don't be shyd away buying a 2nd gen one if you find one and cant get a 1g (whiteline make a 1g one tho!)

also, thanks to sabbai for this, he was the one that showed me it could fit and had the dremel i needed! (sorry, hafta spread round first)

Won't putting it on top of other nuts cause more flex in the assembly? I thought the whole idea of the strut bar is to reduce flex to an absolute minimum.

Does anyone know how the ebay strut bars hold up. Are they strong enough etc. They seem like a much cheaper alternative to what else ive seen. 50ish compared to 200ish.... I mean it is just allimunium right??? as long as the brackets fit nicely

what exactly was wrong with the whitleline bar? any pics of it? nost of the bars on ebay are poor qualility and as mentioned will flex. adapting a 2gen bar by making the wholes bigger won't do anything either but provide a little bling

I'm thinkin of getting whiteline rear sway bar for my 1st gen Mx6 too. Its also 4WS. I heard whiteline makes very good sway bars. If u wanna feel real good response when u turn, Just install coilovers and drop it. lol
