thanks

For what model -

The original was for the H-series Box found on the 2.2L turbo from mazda. H box only in the Tx-5 turbo -626 turbo and Mx-6

This is a 12 bolt - Diff meaning it won't fit a N/A g series box found in most other mazdas of the the Time.

Anyone who thinks $1100 is alot - It's not considerign there are not Factory LSd's ever made and Effectivley not options - Quaife - Mainly only make the G-series LSD due to the number of gearbox' version made and number of cars it covers

What is the "G" series LSD?

Hate to go off topic or give lesson but here goes

The Letter identification - reffers to the Gearbox - models.

For example - say ( make this common) a RB30Et - RB is the family or series of motor. with the enxt being engine displacement etc.

Well mazda's most common FWD gearbox's are in the family of F and G.
The F family being smaller and found in the 323 range originally.
The G -family or series of boxe's is the largest and most mass produced by mazda. It covers both Manual and Automatic. They sometimes carry common part or parts. Usually being the Diff housing and internal.s

The G -series of family of gearbox is the most common.
YOu can find it in - BG-ASTINA SP - DOHC - TX-3 DOHC - a version of 4WD is used by the equivlant.
It's home is in the 626 range. in the 1987 GD range. With a it's own 4WD variant not dissimilar to the TX-3 version.
Found also in the GV wagons upunitll 1997.
It was contunied on with minor changes into the latter Japan only capella and the GE /626 in aus.
It was used both with the 2.0L FS 4Cylinder and with a different bellhousing the KL-V6.
it's the one gearbox used with the K-sereis V6's Covering All eunos cars 30x 500 and 800. Note 2.3M/C is auto only. BUt it was G- family Auto.
IN Aus we also had it delivered in the BA 323 up unitll about 95, effectivly the S1 had the G series box.
but the S2 &3 Ba astina's had moved onto the F box or should I say gone back to a F box.
The G box lived only in the GF/GW - Capella 626 here 97-early01.
That was until a revived unit along with updates in the 626 - you found it in the SP20.

The LSD was produced by mazda - IMO was effectivly the front LSD out of the 4WD adopted and used in the MSP, or US only mazdaspeed protege.

It is also available seperately for both Sp20's and other models with the G -series gearbox.
Mazda also had a Viscus version available as option when buying some models of the GE - seires MX-6/626. both auto and manual.

And to answerr the next question

The H -box is one model only gearbox.
It's larger overall. desgined only for one application.
To be driven by the 2.2L Turbo F2 engine. Was never used in any other car.
only in GD - 626 and Mx-6 or Ford Probe variant.
Only in the Turbo models.
Only sold in AUSTRALIA and US in mazda variant. Ford sold the probe to parts of Europe and Japan.

All import H boxe from japan are from Ford Probes. No mx-6 sold in Japan locally had a H box fitted.

If your wondering why you don't make a G series LSD as it covers more models - you could but - I've got one coming for under $800.
it may not be great only a simle merchanical diff but it will do the job.

I would be interested in this as well, and I too would need it to be shipped to the states. But I would like to know some more info about the diff and what the time frame for completion would be assuming you get enough interest to make it worthwhile.
