Got a flat 17" and only a 15" spare

Hi Guys,

I walked out to my car this morning and saw a flat tyre. Rear right. I have 17" on my car but the spare is the stock 15" that was originally on the car.

1)Would it be OK to put the 15 on the rear with the other side still on 17's?
2)Don't think i will be able to drive 100kmph with this situation right? My work is a 30km drive.

3)Just out of curiosity, what tyre pressure do you guys use on the rear and fronts with 17" tyres. The sticker said 32 and 28 for stock wheels.
thanks guys

The 15 will be fine and being on the rear will matter even less.

But in saying that, its about the overall diameter of the tire. If the wheels are that same overall diameter, then it would be ok on the front as well.

There will be slight handling differences, but nothing to worry about.

As for pressure, i run mine at about 36 psi. That stops the shoulders wearing out 1st.

thanks for the response guys. I ended up putting the 15" on the right rear and dropped off the flat tyre at tyrepower next to my work and picked it up when i finished.

I might try running 36 psi on all 4 corners and see how it goes. I do notice the shoulder problem as you mentioned cam22t.
