Guys, Guys, Guys!!!

I just happenned to be looking through a few different posts and I noticed you were talking about Kia engines. It just so happens that I work for Ateco Automotive (Importers for Kia cars and parts in OZ) If you need anything that has to do with Kia parts I am more than happy to help in any way I can. If you need anything you can send me a message at quick_1600@hotmail.com (don't laugh at my e-mail address - I can't be stuffed changing it)

What's the deal with Kia bits?
I've got an 87a Telstar TX5 Turbo and I've been told I can get a multipoint manifold with KIA parts is that true? If so where?
I'm planning a rebuild but If I can get a FE3 cheap I may convert to the dark side! Cheers for the info!

i have an 85 tx5 , ive fitted the fe3 dohc engine it was strait forward it fits your current gearbox + driveshafts all you kneed to do is fit the top engine mount off the 88 models.check my website for some pics,

depends on your finances as a complete front cut costs around $1800 from wreckers for that you get all you kneed to do the swap.or you can buy just the engine but u will kneed aftermarket ecu

the fe3 has enough power to outrun your turbo if yours is close to stock. imagine if you hang a hairdryer off it .

How hard is it to get this FE3 motor?
$1800 is around the same as my rebuild can I get a good quaility one for that price or is that just a cheap one.
Also what cars did these motors first come in?

thanks for the info dude.I did the smart thing and searched the forum for info just after I posted. I think I will go the FE3 if Iget my current turbo rebuilt and high flowed would that be enough boost for the FE3? I'm guessing that because the FE3 is such a high rever I may want to invest in a Garret. Are there any particular turbos you'd recommend? Also (and I promise this will be the last question for this post anyway) How did you decompress the motor? New pistons or just a copper gasket.
Cheers for the info AUSFE I'll be pestering you for info over the next month or so while I'm saving.

im not decompressing the engine, im getting some porting done in the head chambers, maybe a copper head gasket , i dont know how copper head gaskets are but i will find out soon .

i think a garret would be the way to go t28 or t30 preferablly.

your more than welcome to ask thats why this forum is here.
