We lost another 6er

So we lost another fellow 6er on the boards here.. bought a 95 Ls & was disspointed now he is selling his 6 & moving on 2 a honda lol....
i think his user name is black_mx6. had a nice chat with him on msn...

he was all bragging about this track prelude 98 i believe 300HP w/ 6psi so amazing 4 a I4.. Also ranting about V tec i dont know much about V tec or really even care correct me if i'm wrong but does V tec burn just as much gas or burn oil? buddy claims v tec burns oil? So i dont know..

Anything involving getting more air into the engine requires fuel to match in order to make more power. And yes, spending a lot of time in VTEC will burn a small amount of oil as the system is actuated using oil pressure.

Thats not the reason the oil may be getting burned... Oil PSI actuates the lifters but does not allow it to get in to the cylinder any more than a non vtec motor does. You burn more oil at high rpm hard driving regardless... but its only a small amount.. if you see blue you have more issues at hand. Oil will only pass by piston rings, valve stems and head gaskets.

you both need educating.

This thread was useless and should be deleted. We don't need you to tell us someone left the MX6 for a Honda... let them do it.

losing another one, my mx6 is broken down and im not putting any more money into her. Just put her up on autotrader. Got my 6 now.
