total electrical power failure for 1994 mazda mx6 v6 ls
guys i need some help here!, I have a 1994 mazda mx6 v6 ls. Last night the car had a total electrical power failure. Not even the head lights work, I opened the engine compartment, checked the 100 Amp main fuse, it is okey, checked all other fuses in the engine compartment, they are okey. There is absolutely no power going into the car, except for the door open beeps sound. I called an auto electric workshop, they said to find such a problem at a rate of $80 dollars an hour can take a mininimum of 8 hours. I dont have that money. can any one please assist on this matter

Really sounds like a main fuse. Did you use a volt/ohm meter to check it, or did you just look at it?

It sounds like a loose ground under or around the fuse box. Others have had a similar problem, you'll have to search, but basically find the loose ground, clean it up with sandpaper on the connector and on the chassis where it connects, and screw it back down and you should be good. Remember to disconnect the battery before doing this.
